Welcome to Whimsical Arts
Whimsical Arts has been seeking out Folk Art
throughout the cities and remote villages of Mexico
since February of 1997. All of the art that you see on
these pages has been hand selected by me, Patricia
Healey. Whimsical Arts is a cottage industry located
in Sisters, Oregon, supporting other cottage
industries throughout Mexico.
My selections are not limited only to Gallery
quality folk art, although you will see many of the
gallery pieces on these pages. I have an attraction to
new and upcoming artists work and love to support
those artists because they are very often overlooked.
With new artists the work can be so innocent,
refreshing, and untainted by the commercial market.
My collection of Folk Art is huge. If you do not see
what you are looking for while browsing my site please
email me with your special
requests and I will look through my expansive
collection and reply to your emails with images of
possibilities. If your requests are not in my
collection, well then, I will put your requests on my
Wish List for my next buying trip through Mexico.
It is my goal as a Folk Art dealer to offer you, my
customer, handmade Folk Art that is full of charm,
character, and whimsy at an affordable price. It is
also my goal while working with the artists of Mexico
to offer the Artists a fair and reasonable wage for
their hard work and wonderful art!
